Selecting a Donor

Our egg donation programs follow the screening guidelines recommended by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Besides the requested physical attributes and background sought by the patient, Global Fertility Associates screens the donor’s medical, social and psychological status.

Egg donors will be clear of any common or serious genetic or infectious diseases and in excellent health. They will have proven fertility, and have undergone at least one cycle of stimulation and egg collection, before being matched.

In the Actuality we have the possibilitie to proceed a Genetic Carrier Map (screening) between the sperm Donor (Patient or Donor) and the Egg Donor and therefore avoid any genetically disease which could be trasmitted through the Donors (Patients & Donors).

Egg Donor Criteria:

– Often college students or graduates

– Between the ages of 18-34

– Present a normal karyotype (chromosome study)

– Non-smokers

– Have demonstrated good vision

– Proven fertility

– Proven In excellent health
